Communicates with or claims to have Jinn working for them

Could a fake Raaqi actually be a magician or sorcerer themselves?

Yes, and this is one of the most serious dangers facing those who seek help from unverified practitioners. Magicians often come out in the garb of faith, pretending to be pious, and place advertisements presenting themselves as healers. A practitioner who asks for your mother's name, requests personal items such as clothing, hair, or photographs, uses incense rituals, or provides sealed amulets containing symbols and numbers is not a healer these are signs of someone who is in obedience to devils and using them for their purposes. Visiting such a person, even out of desperation, is a gravely serious matter in the sight of Allah.
Resorting to such practitioners does not solve the problem it exacerbates it, multiplying the harm. A person afflicted by a single act of magic may end up under the influence of multiple spells, entering a continuous cycle of suffering. The Prophet ﷺ warned us that whoever visits a fortune-teller or sorcerer and believes what they say has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad ﷺ. This is not a matter to take lightly.

What should I do if I have already visited a fake Raaqi?

Make sincere tawbah to Allah, cease all contact with that individual immediately, and discard any objects, Taweez, or items they may have provided you with. You can begin by reciting the prescribed morning and evening adhkar as well as the authenticated ayahs and surahs for protection consistently and seek out a legitimate practitioner for a proper assessment and treatment if needed. Allah's mercy is vast and His forgiveness is without limit for those who turn back to Him sincerely.
